Dr. Walter Artkowsky, D.C. has been in practice for 38 years. He started his pre-chiropractic training at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he wrestled and worked in the Athletic Department helping to treat injured athletes. He then attended Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina and graduated Summa cum laude in 1978.
After graduation, he moved to the state of Washington where he worked and studied Spinal Biomechanics and Engineering at the nationally known “Pettibon Chiropractic Clinic and Research Center.”
He and his wife, Leslie, moved to Carmichaels, PA in 1986 where he has practiced for the past 31 years and where they raised their two daughters.
Over the years, he has continued his education and has become certified in the use of Physical Modalities for the treatment of pain and injuries. He has extensive training in Chiropractic Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, Cox Lumbar Distraction technique, Low force Activator technique, Trigger Point Therapy and Kennedy Decompression technique.
